As an educator with over a decade of experience, Danny specializes in acting, musical theater performance, directing, and arts/entertainment business and law. Danny focuses on building confidence and helping students progressively build the important skills for success in the arts.
At the collegiate level, Danny teaches:
Fundamentals of Performance
Introductory acting that focuses on analysis of the components of performance, dissecting various performance styles, and Stanislavski-based objective, beat, and tactic work.
Musical Theatre: Acting the Song
Entry-level musical theatre classes focused on musical performance in different genres and eras. Class includes a unique approach developed by Danny (inspired by Shurtluff’s 12 Guideposts) to help students successfully interpret a musical piece.
Directing Lab
Lab offered in Fall 2025 for a senior theatre major interested in directing. Focused on helping the student craft her portfolio, which included work from Medea, Swan Song, and Oh Mary!
Acting Techniques (various levels)
Upper-level acting classes with a focus on the techniques of Sanford Meisner, Uta Hagen, Lee Strasberg, Viewpoints, and Michael Chekhov. Classes include scripted work (both songs and monologues).
Musical Theatre: Musical Theatre Scene Study
An advanced-level musical theatre class focused on successfully marrying scene, song, and dance. Principles of composition and musical theatre direction are also taught.
Business of Performing Arts
The senior year class focused on helping students develop the business skills needed to be successful as artists. The class moves through the following broad areas needed for success: marketing, human resources, legal, and finance. The strategic management method and Covey’s four quadrants are taught as part of this course.
Audition Techniques
Coursework dedicated to preparing for auditions (for both plays and musicals), including repetoire, presentation, and audition strategies.

Danny has primary taught Samantha Bower’s Little Limelight curriculum (https://www.littlelimelight.com/) which focuses on fostering creative expression, love for movement, engagement with music, and confidence singing in front of a group.
Creative Drama
Weekly class focused on instilling imagination, creative expression, and collaboration with peers.
Elementary School
Musical Theater
Danny’s elementary school musical theatre classes focus on:
Acting: Stage directions, creative expression, improvisation, simple scene work
Singing: Identifying pitch, singing in unison as a group, and singing confidently solo in front of a group
Dance: Simple jazz steps, coordination between limbs, and expression when dancing

Danny’s elementary school acting classes focus on basic stage directions, creative expression, improvisation, and simple scene work. Most of his elementary school acting classes culminate in a play with characters and a plot developed by the students (and committed to the page by Danny).
Middle School

Acting: Basic script analysis (Stanislavski-based objectives, tactics, and beats), intermediate improvisation, basic song interpretation, developing character (vocally and physically)
Singing: Developing tone and technique, simple harmonies, and singing confidently solo in front of a group

Singing: Refining tone and technique, advanced harmonies, and singing confidently solo and in groups
Dance: Advanced jazz steps and storytelling when dancing
Acting
Danny’s high school acting classes focus on advanced script analysis (Stanislavski-based objectives, tactics, and beats), advanced improvisation, and developing character (vocally and physically). examining the techniques of Meisner, Viewpoints, Hagen, and Chekhov.
Directing
Focus on concept development, principles of composition, script analysis, giving feedback, collaborating with designers, and managing the process.
Advanced Audition Techniques
In an advanced audition techniques class, Danny refines the skills needed to be successful in the audition, including proper etiquette, preparation, execution, and repertoire. Classes focus on college and professional auditions.
